Map Controls¶
Navigation¶
- Pan — click and drag the map
- Zoom — scroll wheel, or use the +/- buttons
- Reset view — the map auto-fits to your selected regions when a layer is added
Base Maps¶
Open Settings from the user menu (top right) to choose a base map style. Options include light, dark, and satellite imagery.
Colour Ramp¶
Also in Settings, you can change the colour ramp used for choropleth shading. The default is a blue sequential ramp. Options include diverging ramps (useful for showing positive/negative values like swing).
Opacity¶
Adjust choropleth opacity in Settings to let more or less of the base map show through.
Hovering¶
Hover over a region to see its name and data value in a tooltip.
Compare View¶
When you have two or more layers, you can compare them side by side:
- Select two layers using the compare checkboxes in the layer list
- The map splits into a synchronised left/right view
- Pan and zoom on either side — the other follows
